Detroit Tigers +150 at Minnesota Twins -160 (5Dimes)

Porcello v. Baker

Porcello:

For the season Porcello was 14-9 (pretty good) decent ERA 4.04 decent Ratio 1.35
Twins hit Porcello, even without Mourneau (1 for 4 lifetime) overall the current Twin roster is 27 for 90 (.290) and reach base often (.343 OBA)
Interesting stat, Joe Mauer is only 1-9 against Porcello (.111) while Jason Kubel owns him (8-11 .727)
He started against the Twins 4 times this season, going 1-3, however even though he lost his last 2 starts against Minnesota in the past 2 weeks, he has been very effective in losing.
3-0 and 3-2.
Got lit up in May, but he has matured in teh last 5 months.

Scott Baker:

Had the better season, but not demonstatively better.
Had a 15-9 record. (solid)
Had an average ERA 4.36, however had a very impressive 1.19 ratio.
Struck out twice as many hitters as Porcello, which is important in a one game play-in, (obviously to score you need to put the ball in play.)
Like the Twins with Porcello, the Tigers hit Baker as well.
Currently this Tiger lineup is 77 for 266 lifetime (.289) however the ration isn't bad (.325 OBA against)
Has started aginst the Tigers 4 times this season, going 1-1 with two ND's, and not looking good in either one of them.

Are the Twins the hotter team right now?
Yes

Is Baker a better starter right now?
Not by much.

Should the Twins win this game.
Maybe

Is there value with the Tigers at +150
Very much so
