It was my first time there and although I had a really good time with the group of people (25 to be exact) I was with ...... I guess I just expected more.

We landed Wednesday around 10AM Vegas time and left Monday morning around 9AM Vegas time. I really feel for someone to do everything they plan on doing in Vegas you need a good 10 days.

Here is what I did on a day to day basis:

Wednesday: No one really made plans on Wednesday except wait around until Midnight when the person who we were with turns 21 then go out. Coming from the East Coast this would be hard for most because the clocks are back three hours. So after settling in and grabbing something to eat a few of us hit up the Sportsbook and watched a few afternoon games that were going on. We then stayed there to watch the Phillies clinch the division. The closer it got to 12AM I could feel myself getting a little tired but me and about 10 of the 25 stuck it out until midnight. We then went casino/club hopping for the next three hours. I was up for over 24 hours straight because I had to get up the day before really early to catch the flight.

Thursday: Woke up pretty early because I wanted to watch the start of the NHL season (Blackhawks vs Panthers). The first game started at 12 Eastern time. I watched some of that then me and the wife went to the Wynn because she is obsessed with Louis Vuitton. While she was in there I went into the Rolex store and how could I go into a Rolex store and not think of BAS? The Rolex and Cartier stores in the Wynn are very nice and they could not have better salespeople working there. I walked into the Rolex store with my Ireland soccer national jersey on and 45 minutes later me and one of the salesman are at the bar drinking irish whiskey (Tully Dew). After a few drinks we walked back to our casino to meet up with some of the others. She is obsessed with the Wheel of Fortune slots so it was not like I was tied down at all. I could do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. From here I just sat at the Sportsbook until around 5PM. I already made reservations for 25 for the birthday boy. So whoever was not out with us last night at midnight could celebrate now and it would be the last time that everyone was together on the whole trip. So at 6PM everyone ate a nice dinner then again we all went our seperate ways. Me and her walked to Caesars palace and played for a few hours then called it a night.

Friday: A day I have been waiting for. In July when we booked the trip I bought me and the wife front row tickets for the show O. So when I woke up I walked over to the Bellagio where the O show is located and picked up the tickets. When I got back there was around 10 people at the pool. So we started drinking 32 Oz daiquiris and playing beer pong. Four hours later it is 5PM I was 5 daiquiris in and who knows how much beer, but it was sad to hear us getting removed from the pool because it gets closed at 5PM... Now that pissed me off and is the worst rule I ever heard but whatever. So from there I walked inside had a few more beers then me and her were off to O. When we got to O it was nice to see that they offer beverages themselves. So we both bought two then took our seats. I soon found out why it said wet seat on our ticket. If i reached out I could have touched the water. I'll say this ...The next 90 minutes were the most entertaining of the entire trip. That show is absolutely incredible and if you ever get a chance to go I totally suggest it. After O about 15 of us walked to a piana bar and completely took over...I could tell many people did not like us but the piano players sure did. After the piano bar I called it a night. I drank for about 14 hours.

Saturday: Woke up and put all of my college games in. Four of us then took a walk over to the BLT burger at the Mirage. We all really enjoyed it thanks for everyone who responded to the thread I created. After the BLT burger a few of us walked to the Venetian. She wanted to ride the Gondala so I took one for the team and agreed to go. After the Gondalas we agreed to stay at the venetian for a bit. She went on to play her slots and I sat a bar right outside the sportsbook. I took my seat and someone right off the bat was claiming I was from Philadelphia because of my accent. I never realized Philadelphia people had accents, but anyway this is where I learned a pretty good lesson. While we were sitting here 4 fights broke out in front of us at the sportsbook. All because of the LSU and Georgia game. People cheering out loud for their teams in Vegas is probably the dumbest thing ever. I could understand cheering, but when your cheering just to annoy someone else its really immature. My betting tickets were probably double all of these idiots put together and they start fighting. So I missed the Mayweather fight in Vegas by a couple of weeks but I got to see a 4 on 4 WWF Royal Rumble style fight. It was only a matter of time until it was broken up but two guys did get dropped. After this I went back to our hotel and met up with about 15 people. We then jumped in cabs and went to old Las Vegas. We set a time of 2 hours to stay and meet up again and leave. I can not tell you how much I hated this area. For some reason I just didnt like it. We then went back to the strip hit a couple of bars/clubs and called it a night.

Sunday: A depressing day. I hate waking up on any vacation when its the last day. I really love being able to spend time with family and friends especially when your with a group of that size that you know you will never be going away with again. Me and her slept pretty late, but when we woke up we decided to take a walk to the Forum Shops. They have beautiful stores in that mall and I also got to meet one of the greatest players of all time Pete Rose who was in one of the shops signing autographs. After this my wife has always told me about this place in New York she always used to go to called Serendipity that has frozen hot chocolate. Here there is one in Vegas. So we walked down there ate some food and drank the frozen hot chocolate .... incredible to say the least. After this we walked to our hotel and meet a few people in the diamond lounge and drank in there until it was closed. We then gambled for a little bit and that was it. It was all over.

Monday: Up at 6AM packed by 7AM and at the airport by 8:30AM.

All in all our trip was very fun. Many of us have the worst chapped lips and dealt with nose bleeds the whole trip because the air was extremely dry. It's always good to get away no matter where you go. If you dont go there with a plan to do a, b, and c you end up pretty much doing what I did the whole time and that was do whatever you wanted. I regret that I did that now, but it was a learning experience.

We stayed at Harrahs because AC and Chester are so close to my house that I tend to go there a lot and rack up tons of comps. When I found out I could get enough rooms for 25 people including a suite for me and her I was sold. Plus I had access to the Diamond Lounge the whole trip which was nice.

Things we did not do that I wish we would have:
Seen more Circus Du Soleil shows.
Went in every casino
Take a cab to the Gold n Silver Pawn shop (Where the show on the Histroy Channel is located)
Ate at more higher rated restaurants
Golfed
Drank at Minus 5 bar in Mandalay Bay
I could go on and on the bottom line is this 5 days was not long enough.

Things that I learned:
1)Vegas house rules are not the same as AC and I learned the hard way playing Roulette. I like to play the outside and when 0 came out I was expecting half of my bet back. Only in AC I guess.

2)Load your lips up with something before they get chapped.

3)Have a plan. Dont just go out there if you are still new to the scene and gamble. Make plans to see some shows or something.

4) If the winds are ever 30-40 MPH when you are landing put on a diaper because you are in for a rough one.

5) Dont wait until you get to Vegas to try to adjust to the time difference. Work on it before you go.

Great report. Thanks for sharing.

Isn't it great to be able to drink early in the afternoon without having to worry about driving later or getting up at a certain time? You can wake up any time and have something to do.

As far as adjusting to the time difference, what time difference? Vegas is open at any time. Just get up when you want to.

I guess what I meant about the time difference is when its 12AM there its 3AM on the east coast. Bars in Philly close at 2am so it was tough for me to stay out late because im not used to it. Also for the Sports betting it was hard to adjust. I would be going to sleep at 4AM some nights and had to wake up 5 hours later to put games in.

Serendipity frozen hot chocolate is a signature dish at the Serendipity 3, nestled in the heart of the upper east side of New York. The place is a general store and restaurant combined with a coffeehouse and soda fountain and serves the most famous dessert in New York.
Serendipity New York was founded by Stephen Bruce and his two partners, Calvin Holt and Preston “Patch” Caradine in 1954. Since that time Stephen Bruce has been asked constantly to divulge his secret about his Serendipity frozen hot chocolate recipe. Jackie Kennedy even wanted to serve the dessert at a White House event and he would not give his secret away.
Serendipity frozen hot chocolate is an icy-chocolate type of dessert served in a fishbowl-shaped goblet, topped with whipped cream, shaved chocolate and served with a spoon and two straws. This frosty creation is made with more than 14 kinds of chocolate and exotic cocoas blended into a rich slush.
One taste of this frozen concoction and Oprah wants to “dance on the chandeliers!” The Queen of Daytime TV has named this one of her “Favorite Things.” This Serendipity frozen hot chocolate secret recipe has finally been revealed after 50 years. The Serendipity 3 restaurant in New York City has actually given out the recipe so you can make this unbelievable drink at home. It’s very simple.
Serendipity frozen hot chocolate recipe created by Serendipity 3 Restaurant.
INGREDIENTS
6 half-ounce pieces of a variety of your favorite chocolates
2 teaspoons of store-bought hot chocolate mix
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
3 cups of cups of ice
Whipped cream
Chocolate shavings
Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Place it in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir occasionally until melted. Add the hot chocolate mix and sugar. Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and slowly add ½ cup of milk until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
In a blender, place the remaining cup of milk, the room-temperature chocolate mixture and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri. Pour into a giant goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
To make this even more simple you can buy a Serendipity Frozen Hot Chocolate gift box on line. It comes in a whimsical box that includes two pouches (four servings) of the chocolate-cocoa blend mix, one signature goblet, a souvenir spoon and colorful straws. Just add milk, the chocolate mix, lots of ice and blend. It makes a perfect gift for any chocolate lover or splurge and buy one for yourself. You're worth it.

"Are you not entertained"?.... haha sorry man... The daiquiris were nice to drink when I didn't have beer to drink during the beer pong games. And drinking 160 Ounces of any alcoholic beverage is no small feat.

The only reason I remember is because the cost of one was almost a dollar per ounce.

Ten days does sound better, especially if you come with a good supply of ephedrine and/or amphetamines.

I could go into detail about my aunt collapsing at the piano bar, my cousin drinking 6 fish bowls at the Voodoo lounge following cracking his head suffering a sever concussion who is still in Vegas because hes not allowed on a plane yet and my brother who threw up on the pianos at the piano bar from drinking way to my patrone but i'll leave that out.

The pilot came over the loudspeaker with about 90 minutes left in the flight and told us to put our seat belts on because it is very windy. We did not feel a thing then right as we were about to land it hit us. I mean this plane was being thrown around like a piece of paper in the wind. People we screaming and shit. Very scary.
