the last two regular seasons, 2007 & 2008, he was absolutely sensational in the regular season. In 2007, he won the AL CY Young. In 2008, after the trade to Mil, he was even better.

However, here are his post season stats for the four games he pitched in those two years.

1 W 3 L
19 IP
20 ER
17 BB (for a man with otherwise great control)
19 K
9.47 ERA

does he have the Chien-Ming Wang disease?

-300 seems like everybody expects him to be the exact opposite today

For me, I'm going to play the Twins +1.5 + 130

I'm assuming CC will not be has good as everybody thinks, based on his post season history

The Twins are as hot as it gets, the Yanks haven't played a meaningful game in two weeks

The Twins have to be loose, nobody expects anything from them

I'm also hoping ARod does his post season thing

If all else fails, I've got the Hillary curse to fall back on. It's almost as powerful as the Curse of the Bambino or the Billy Goat curse.

Since NY elected Hillary Senator, The Yankees have not won the WS. In that time frame, the best post season closer in history blew game 7 of the WS. Furthermore, the arch rival Red Sox were enabled to win two times, and came back from a 3-0 deficit vs the Yankees to win an ALCS.

Be scared Yankee backers, be very scared.

one thing in cc favor this year is that hes not overworked and wore out going in the playoffs as he was with milwakee last year pitching on 3 days rest down the stretch. and with cleveland he pitched more innings than he did this year with yanks. so he has no excuses this year. this is why the yanks gave him all that money to dominate this time of year. the true test i think will come in his second start. hes facing a tired, wore out less power hitting team then he will face with the sox or angels.
