400 on Red Sox @ 8.5-1 Odds to win WS ... How\When To Hedge

I'd love to secure some of that money but it seems damn difficult to do so, especially before you get it down to four teams.

With the Yankees likely being damn close to even money to win the WS after making it to the ALCS (assuming they beat Minn) it makes it really hard.

I'd get around 4K if the Sox win the World Series... I can't really figure out a good way to hedge and secure a nice profit.

Can you guys think of anything?

I was trying to figure out a way if I could hedge if they make it to the ALCS by taking the other teams to win the World Series but that would minimize profits pretty quickly.

If they get to the WS, then you can worry about it. Until then your 400 is in play.

What he said, hedge only when the final game can make or break your wager.
Same holds true in parlay bets.
That has always been my theory.
