I did talk to someone in livechat last night....they told me it was a widespread problem and will be fixed within 1 to 2 hours late last night
although it sounded just like a company line now that you say its isolated...and i have been experiencing it for a week or so
I use firefox...
I can get to the website...the new interface but when i type in my pw to confirm it gives me an error like "hack error" or something ...all i remember was the word "hack" in the error message

Now that we have a BetPhoenix rep in this thread maybe I can get an answer to my question. When I click on Straight Bet and enter an amount in the bet area, it always takes the bet as the amount to win. Is there any way to bet the amount I want to risk instead of how much I want to win?

Yes, thanks. New city, new job, yet I've lived here before and worked for this boss before so everything is new, yet not too strange.

Academia - Research/lecturing.
The pro gambling paid my way through school, allowed me to live well and make some investments but after 6-7 years I found it a bit too repetitive (unstimulating) and very socially restrictive.
I've scaled the betting back a lot now, essentially playing just a few angles that don't take too much time and enjoying watching some sports. Academia is good in that apart from teaching the scheduled classes, I can pretty much work to my own schedule as I did when gambling, but with the advantages of travel for conferences, social relationships etc. It pays less, but I'm happier.
Currently at a university in Copenhagen, but may move to Brisbane to pursue some other research early next year.

I had my own troubles with betphoenix today. Damn line changes *all the time* as I'm in the process of submitting my bet.
Happened at 2:20ct today as I was trying to bet on Oregon -3 (kept jumping from -112 to -116 and back and forth), and then in-game betting with LSU when it got up to +12...sucks because I actually had 2 winners picked out (if LSU holds on).
Seems to me like BetPhoenix should freeze the line you get it at if you submit your bet within 1 minute (like thegreek does) or something to that effect to keep people from getting screwed out of lines they see and like.
Not being able to get LSU +12 cost me a good chunk of change tonight because the line kept changing on it...pretty frustrating.
Still a good book, but that's my complaint for the day.
