slightly confused by the line......im assuming its because its sunday, and the books dont wanna get beat up by the rockies who they had to pay at +150 last time out.
Perhaps the average bettor thinks ja happ is a journeymen and dont know about his masterpiece like gem he already threw against rockies in colorado or there crappy results vs lefties...
Im the kind of guy who likes to believe the books know all and take all into account......id have the line at -130, especially considering hammel is a righty and phils feature rollins , vic, utley ibanez and howard, all who are switch or lefties
obviously i like the phils here, but the line here really confuses me.
BTW.....i see alot of people are liking the over 9 for the yanks game........i can see that.....but to be honest the twins hit Petitte better than the Yanks hitters hit Pavano....(u cans ee these career numbers easily on mlb.com in gameday preview).......i really like the Twins here at +155 not because i think they should be favored....but Yankees games are a carnival of sportsbetting.....they really bring out the freaks....I think this line should be -120 yanks.....and game is more of a coinflip....im taking the 40 cents surplus and taking my shot.......I think Joe Pub thinks these Twins were just happy to be here, and they seem to put up a fight, then lay down for the yanks and let them come back, or make some bad base running mistakes....I like Minny to get early lead here.
