He is still clearly not the same. Very gun shy and scared to get hit. Misses a lot of deep balls and ope nreceivers still b/c of it. Hopefully a few more weeks & he will be back to normal......It took Manning a good 6-8 weeks last year to get comfortable. Thoughts?

all of a sudden he is holding the ball too long...starting to look like kurt warner on a bad day sometimes.

i think he'll be fine. he just needs a few more weeks to get his rhythm back. i think the transition back is taking a little more time than expected because so many players left or retired. this isnt the same patriots team he left last year

"Will Tom Brady ever regain his old form?" is the title of the thread... to answer that question:

Yes, he will probably regain his "old form" of averaging 24.5 TDs and 3593 Yards per Season over the 6 year span he spent as a starter before his breakout season with Moss and Welker at his disposal...

I hate how people think he's so damn good because he threw for 50 tds and 4800 yds one year before defenses figured that new offense out....

Aside from that one year, which Brady will never come close to replicating, he is an AVERAGE QUARTERBACK... one of the most overrated of all-time.

And before you come on here talking about his superbowl rings, keep in mind that half the starting QBs in the league can throw 4 yard flats and check down passes to the RB to get their team in field goal range for (at the time) the best kicker in the league. Especially given the fact that the Pats defense was one of the best at the time, and they also have the best coach in the game.
