All the talk since that "Foul Ball" Call in the Yanks/Twins game.

Do you think they should have a Coaches Challenge, like they do in the NFL ??

yeah, i've been against mlb replay for a long time, but some of these calls....good lord

and speaking of football, if a coach wins a challenge he should get to keep it. i've seen some stupid calls that had to get challenged that cost the team its last challenge.

The worry is where does it end. Home runs and foul balls seem like good use of replay, but what about catch/trap? Or tag/force at a base? Jyst home plate? Batter went around? There are so many things that could be looked at and then we're looking at a 4+ hour game. If we look at foul balls then every time a ball hits near the chalk that's a 3-5 minute delay. It's a tricky issue.

I kind of agree with this Statement.

Baseball Can be a Long Game to begin with, It would have to be on a small number of plays.
And Maybe just One Challenge, per Game.

Of course you have to draw the line somewhere. They drew a line in the NFL and I don't see why they couldn't draw the line in baseball. I don't think anybody is calling for a review of every play. Maybe one coaches challenge during the regular season and two during the playoffs for certain calls only.

For instance, in last night's Philly/Colorado game 3, at a crucial point late in the game, the ball hit of Chase Utley's bat, bounced off Utley's leg, and trickled into fair territory. I think the correct call is a foul ball. Utley proceeded to first and was ruled safe in a bang bang play. Although I don't think the play at first should be challengeable, I think what happen at the plate should be.

All sports in which a replay could prove helpful should have replay & coaches' challenges.

Heck, NBA officiating is so bad at times that too bad they don't allow coaches to replay bogus fouls so many times a game, and have a panel of 3 separate judges from the refs who will replay & determine if they truly felt it was a foul or not......

Agreed!! The NFL coach should keep his challenge if his first challenge is upheld.

Use must be a network exec. They are only ones that complain a game is too long.

This nonsense with college football the games are too long. I have never heard a fan say, boy I can't believe was at the USC Notre Dame game 25 minutes longer than I should have been.

Yeah. A team should win because they deserve the win not because some dumb ump couldn't see the ball right.
