Why do you post here at the RX?

For me its educational,accountability, and fun for myself.

Educational-I stumbled across this place last year and pick up tidbits here and there of different capping methods and things to look for ect... and it is really broadening the way I cap(which is good for JoeBloe like myself)

Accountability-There was times would I would have a gawdawfull weekend(lose 100 bux lol) and just not play for a few weeks then start over like nothing ever happened. Thats the #1 reason I post my picks here. I make a bet , I put in my thread, it locks, and I cant forget about it next week. Basically I guess Im trying to say I get to see my True record.

Fun--weeeee, for the most part its fun

Anyways I still have a longggggg way to go to become good by any means but just wonder the reasons for other posters?

Also curious about the Hater type posters? Why do you post on the forum? (mainly curious of ones with no record, just bash basically) Why?

Im not great at the pen either, lol but a basher type got me thinking of this earlier this morning and I am bored of work already so answer if you want.

The fourm in its current incarnation functions like race and sportsbook in Vegas do. A variety of converstation. A good cross of people. A place for pros in the buisness such as myself can come hang out and relax a little.

Because I like interacting with like minded people. Whether it is reading an opinion someone has on a game, or something educational about sports betting.

I came into the world of sports betting almost 3.5 years ago, and I'm not going to lie I completely sucked, chased, lost a lot of money. But, since then I have progressed to become a grounded and a fairly sharp bettor. I now approach this as a business and do everything as a professional. If I'm going to do something, I'm going to do it to the best of my ability. When I started I would spend 5 minutes picking plays out of a hat (just about..) and losing money hand over fist. This forum and a few people in particular helped to keep me grounded and sharpened me up over the past couple of years (specifically the past year and a half). Without some of the people I met on this forum, I would be that same lame degenerate gambler losing money left and right.

Now, my focus is to take what I do to higher level, and in the process give back a little bit to this wonderful community.

It's solid entertainment! Winners, laughs, info, contests, the OT stuff, advice, where to play, book bonuses. Etc.

This site has become a staple of my web browsing over the years even before my mod duties.

And in real life. There have been times I do or try things I wouldn't have thought of myself if I didn't read about it here first.

We all have something in common right off the bat. Sports and or gambling.

Oh, nothing too exciting. Run of the mill stuff, probably most everyone else goes to.

To me, most sites are just tools you use them when needed.

TheRx is busier than ever. Yesterday we had activity in 638 different threads. Activity means at least one post during the calendar day in a counted thread.

Many threads had dozens and in other cases hundreds of posts (replies) during the calendar day. At 1PM EDT we had 8400 online users, these are real logins that are no longer than two hours old. If a user doesn't show any activity after exactly two hours that user names drops off the count.

We do not count Site Promotions or our Board Room.

The Rx.com also registered 243 new posters in the last 7 days. Granted some are shils and ghosts. We work very hard trying to identify shils looking to sell something and ghosts that already have a user name attached to their IP when we register new posters. I would say about 5 to 10% of the new registrations have to be rejected for one reason or another.

I post here almost everyday for 10 yrs mainly because over the past 10 yrs I have met and made some very good friends here like Mr leisure , Akillies, Quantam leap , Wilhiem, Sportssavant, Viejo Dinosaur, Judge Wapner, Rob funk all classy guys and countless others I have met and became good friends with I think these guys would give you there shirt if needed
