Pretty sure iphone can't run on verizon or sprint as neither use sim cards. If jailbroken/unlocked you can use the iphone on tmobile.

iPhone is best phone in there. If you know how to unlock it and get all the apps for free it can be great. Also, other neat little tricks you can do with it. For instance, if you are in an area with no wireless internet, you can use your iPhone to get you wireless coverage.

Just to clarify, jailbroken Iphone means you can install 3rd party apps and customize your Iphone. You can only use your phone with ATT.
Unlocked means you can use it with any provider such as T-mobile or overseas.
You can't use the Iphone with Verizon. Even if it's unlocked. Different network meaning the Iphone uses a SIM card. Only T-mobile and ATT use a sim card. There have been rumors that Verizon will get it next year.
Screw the Iphone get a Palm Pre..I have had an iphone and the Pre is the best phone I have ever had. If you like to get on the net alot get the the Pre. Also Sprint is alot cheaper, you can get You can get unlimted calls to ANY cell phone and unlimted text, pics, data.etc all for just 69.99. In the nexst month the Pre will have FLASH and it will be the shit..(soemthing the iphone wont have).

Just picked up a 16GB i phone 3GS. It is pretty sweet. I jailbroke it with blackra1n and am getting some good free apps.
Only things that suck is I have to create my own ringtones through a backdoor from my music in my itunes folder or pay the apple store fee for their own ringtones. Also I haven't figured out a way to personalize my sounds when receiving text messages, emails and yahoo IM's.

Ohh yeah with the jailbroken phone if I turn my phone completely off it goes into "Recovery Mode" so I need to plug it in my computer and run blackra1n again to recover it and not lose anything. I am not a fan of keeping my phone in "sleep mode" when not in use because it means more charges to the battery.
