Ok, I understand they are Away this time.....But Each Week, they are the Dog !

This Team has beaten Everyone that they have faced.....

Being +3.5 Now in SD ?????

Is this like, The Titans CAN'T go 0-4, 0-5 ?

Denver CAN'T go 6-0 ???:think2:

Chargers coming off a bye week..............

Broncos are playing fantasic I give you that. Playing with alot of emotion and Dawkins is sure getting that defense fired up. (man I wish the Eagles kept him). +3.5 to the Chargers seems generous but too many issues here. This is a huge division game that the Chargers have to have. I think Denver's Defense really gets tested in this one. The Chargers have so many weapons. Rivers, LT, Sproles, VJax, Gates, if the Chargers can out play call the Broncos I think they will be fine at home.

Just guessing, but maybe its because of those hideous uniforms they wore last week.

I think I might be the only one on the face of this earth who liked those uniforms.

Denver has three tough games in a row. They have to beat San Diego this week or they could find themselves at 5-3 before they know it.

I think it has a lot to do with the publics perception of this matchup.Stong divisional rivalry,SD needs this game,Denver has to lose sometime...yada,yada...and so on and so forth.

according to the power ratings denver should be getting 2.5
so i think the 3.5 is generous, suspicious as well.

line for this game is very odd...

chargers missing two key guys...hardwick & williams...they have not been able to run the ball w/out their probowl center & have not been able to stop the run...

&

that plays into nolan's hands...as he can get pressure from the corner on rivers...which takes away the bolts best offensive plays down the field to jackson, floyd, & gates...

merriman is not close to 100%...williams & his back up are both done...ian scott and alfonso boone to stuff the run?

how does moreno not shine and have his coming out party?

the bolts just cut hart...which means they are going to be playing a cornerback at safety along with gregory & weddle...

imo...the best way to play this game is to take the donkeys in the 1st qtr & bet that turner's streak continues where they do not score on their 1st possession

personally, i am still out with the jury on them. it took a miracle to beat cincy, barely beat the cowboys (if romo had been able to hit the broadside of a barn) and took ot to beat ne at home, who was coming off a hard fought game against balty. so the broncs could easily be 2-3. but they're 5-0, and a win over a slow starting SD team would leave them a lock to be in the playoffs -- barring a meltdown, as they would have 3 games remaining against the chiefs and raiders. now if you eliminate the chiefs and raiders from the equation, and assume the broncos beat the chargers this week, they would have a 3 game lead over the chargers, and looking at both teams' non divisional schedules, it would be very hard for SD to catch them. of course i said the same thing last year and gave up on SD, and we all know what happened there.

Game should be a Pick, SD is Yesterday's News

Agreed. SD is a mess right now on both sides of the ball. The biggest problem being that they cannot run the ball or defend the run.

Given that SD is so one dimensional....it shouldn't be too hard for Nolan and company to limit VJ deep, Gates over the middle & Sproles screens.

Factoid of the day:
Denver has only allowed SEVEN second half points. And that was to Cincy late in week 1. They have pitched 4 consecutive 2H shutouts to CLE, OAK, DAL & NE. I believe I read somewhere that they have only given up 2 3rd down conversions in those halves as well.

SD definately has the situational edge here...coming off of bye, desperate, possible let-down after McD won his mini super bowl over Pats and Orton won OPOW.

Even so, I doubt it's enough to overcome huge match up problems they face on the field.

Buckhalter should be back and he and Moreno ought to be able to gash SD's porous run D.

Orton should have ALL day in the pocket to make his reads and not have to rush into any mistakes. I can't see how SD will be able to muster any sort of pressure.

Also...It's not a coincidence that Orton won OPOW the same week the glove finally came off. I've watched every Bronco game at least twice now and his passes had noticeably more zip vs. NE. And he was averaging under 60% with the glove but threw for 73% without it.

Norv Turner can't 'out play call' anyone. Nevermind a kid who play called Brady to 50 TD's, Cassel to 11-5 and Orton to OPOW vs. the Pats.

Norve Turner with 2 weeks to prepare is almost an advantage to the Denver.

I'm not gonna act like I knew they were going to be good b/c I didn't know a whole lot about McDaniels. I only knew that they appeared to be falling apart. However... last year I did take notice of Ortin playing in CHI. He was in complete command at the line of scrimmage pre-snap calling out audibles, etc ala Payton Manning. I watched a few CHI games and I was extremely impressed with Ortin. So when he got traded to DEN I knew he was a bit of a wildcard that could surprise some people. I don't know how much he has had to do with their success up to this pt., but if he becomes comfortable enought o do what he was doing in CHI last year, I think DEN could have a damn good QB on their hands moving into the future. I'd rather not see that since I live in SDiego, but it is what it is.

Did you just compare Kyle Orton to Peyton Manning? :ohno:

People don't want to give them any respect because of preseason predictions. For some reason NFL fans love to hold on to their preseason predictions and want them to be spot on. Some people just can't let go of them.

Denver has all of the elements of a winning team, but nobody wants to believe that they could get over some preseason drama. People love to think these players get all worked up about preseason drama. In reality they are getting paid enormous sums of money and could care less.

I want the Broncos to do well.
