They do have a pretty solid lineup when and if healthy.

Only 19 wins last year, and their season total of over/under wins this year is 41.5.......

I think they slide just over. I was hoping for a lower total.

41.5 is risky knowing that even if they under .500, they might still get into the playoffs. I rather do the Thunder over 35.5

If you're counting on Gilbert Arenas to stay healthy, I have a bridge and some swamp land that I'd be happy to sell you!! LOL

A slightly more serious answer to your question is: It depends on your definition of "compete". If you mean "win more than 19 games", then the answer Yes...If you mean "break .500" the answer is maybe...If you mean "win the East", the answer is not just no but hell no..

Something that could carry over & be a problem in the preseason?

<TABLE width="100%" align=center><TBODY><TR><TD class=vaLabel vAlign=top rowSpan=5 width=100 align=middle> </TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD class=subHead vAlign=top colSpan=3>Wizards' Jamison out for rest of preseason </TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD class=vaLabel colSpan=3>Antawn Jamison - F - WAS - Oct. 15

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>Antawn Jamison will miss at least the rest of the preseason with a partially dislocated right shoulder.
The injury will not require surgery, but Jamison's status for the regular-season opener remains in doubt. Depending on how quickly his shoulder heals, this is potentially devastating news for fantasy owners, and this is the type of injury that can linger. Andray Blatche will likely start in Jamison's absence, and should immediately be considered at least a short-term sleeper.
