Source: Lewis to appeal $25K fine

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis has been fined $25,000 by the NFL for his hit on Chad Ochocinco that sent the Bengals receiver's helmet flying Sunday.

Lewis will appeal the fine, a Ravens source told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

Lewis was called for a 15-yard penalty for the hit, which occurred during the Bengals' final drive of the game. The infraction allowed Cincinnati to continue its march downfield and score for a 17-14 victory over Baltimore.

The Bengals have won four straight games and lead the AFC North with a 4-1 record.

They may decrease his fine...but he's not going to win his appeal...
