How did Schilling work out for them?

You asking about Before or After Schilling helped lead RedSox to two WS rings in four years?

Not Manuels fault. Before this game even started Pedro was only supposed to have a pitch count of around 75 ... maxing at 85... he ended up with 87 pitches. This loss is on Chase Utley...Fucking routine double play ball and he tries to throw it in the dugout. The second game in a row that he has done that. Hes choking his dick off right now.

yeah Boxer, but Pedro had 87 pitches that "werent" stressful.....wasnt like he was struggling all game and in full counts, etc...he was breezing....he should have AT LEAST been allowed to go until his next hit he gave up or walk.....he was dominant against that lineup, and to take him out and bring in Park of all people, who pitched yesterday, just wasnt bright..

and thats NOT hindsight, i felt the same way as soon as i saw park coming in...

I agree, Utley killed them, but the moves were questionable at best...

I am watching a live one on one interview with Pedro right now. They asked him if he could have pitched in the 8th and he said it wouldn't have been smart because he has not pitched in such a long time. He said he was surprised Manuel left him in that long because its very easy to get injured when throwing 70 plus pitches after not pitching for almost three weeks. This is the first time he has pitched in a game since September 30th and he was due up third in the 8th inning. I agree with everything that Charlie did tonight.

Park has been hands down the best pitcher in the pen all season long this year for the Phillies and one of the best in the Majors. He only pitched one inning yesterday. He is very capable of pitching two one inning games in a row.

I agree about the pitch count getting too much hype. Pitchers in four man rotations used to pitch 130 pitches on three days rest.

Pedro was not going to throw Charlie under the bus.

I think managers think too much sometimes. If a guy is dominating, leave him in. At least you know what you're getting. You know LA was happy to see him go.
