I could feel the chill and dampness watching the Yankee/Angel game on TV in the
comfort of my home. "Football" weather has to affect the game of baseball, not to mention the discomfort the fans are expieriencing, It certainly affects beer sales.
With a possible World Series being played in NY or Philly (or both) in late October or early November the thought is numbing. With the 162 game schedule and the play-offs
going the the full "best-of" makes for one long season. I guess the Author of the book, "The Boys of Summer" will have to change the title to the "Boys of Summer....and Winter".
These external factors must definately come into-play when handicapping late season (play-off) baseball.
