1) does he really believe he needs to tell Pettitte and Posada how to pitch Vlad? He stops the game, maybe takes Pettitte out his groove, maybe plants a seed in Pettitte's head, maybe gives Vlad some confidence because he's showing the Angel's flailing slugger so much respect, whatever it was, it was an epic failure. We know Vlad hits a two run homer after Girardi walks off the mound. His 1st home run in over a month

2) he may have been 1 of 17 people in the country that didn't know Scioscia was going to pitch out on an 0-1 count with Gardner on 1st base. The other 16 people never watch baseball.

3) why on earth would you take out your better right handed pitcher, Robertson, and put in your lesser right handed pitcher, Aceves, with two outs in the 11th? Robertson just threw 11 PITCHES and retired 2 batters. He was loose, warm, confident and effective. Why would you bring in a new untested pitcher in that spot? why? Why would you waste another arm when it was possible you might be involved in a long extra inning game? why? that move was so assinine on so many levels it's literally pathetic.

Good thing that bozo has lots of talent. This is a game a Torre team probably wins. He knew enough to let the players play and not over manage.

he also humiliates Johnny Damon, with the likelihood of his arm making a difference with a pulled in outfield being minimum.

the move subsequently forces him to bat the pitcher in the 2nd spot, taking Mo out of the game after 17 pitches.

Damon may have also caught the game winning hit. It would have been a good catch, but it was not an uncatchable ball. Damon being a natural outfielder with good speed would have reacted better and may have just tracked down a ball the Hairston was not far from catching.

There can be no argument made about Girardi not over coaching this came.

With the talent the Yankees have, me and you could have managed the Yankees to the ALCS.

When the over managing blockhead took Robertson out after retiring the first two batters, I knew the NYY were doomed. What I want to know is why I did not bet the Angels when he brought in this bum Aceves. When you make idiot decisions, it usually costs you.

I LOVE Joe Girardi.

If there is one guy who can stop the Yankees from winning the World Series this year, it's him.

In Girardi, we trust.
