Howard. For as good as ARod has been this playoffs, I feel that Howard has been even better.

And ARod always has the potential to return to his old form.

Kate-Rod is coming through now but you can't deny the 1 RBI in the Previous 57 AB before this year

For as good as Howard has been in 25 playoff games, in 2000 total games Rodriguez has been even better

A return to old form would put Rodriguez well ahead of Howard

ARod has played in 2000 playoff games?

At least we know both of them are better at hitting than some people here are at reading comprehension. Though I was off a little. It is now over 2200

i vote howard because so far, when it matters, he has been better on average

This depends a lot on how you define what matters. In the past three years the Phillies have made the playoffs by an aveage of three games, two years before that they missed the playoffs by an average of two games. To me, that is a pretty good indicator that the games between April and September matter a little bit, too. And in those years Howard was the best player on his team only once

AROD mainly because usually all one needs is a single.

BUt had you put Pujols on the list, then I would have voted for him

Exactly. For some reason people only define clutch players by playoff performance. Well you have to get there 1st.

Seriously? You're comparing the pressure of a 162-game season to that of the playoffs? We're going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

Comparing the pressure of the regular season with the playoffs is no less valid than comparing an eight game sample size with a 2000 game sample size. . .
