3* Philadelphia Phillies -140

Padilla faces his old team in Philadelphia. That is a very tough situation. Philly is a tough place to play in October for warm weather teams like LA, Tampa, etc as we saw last year and are continuing to see this year.

Padilla does not go deep into games, and averages about 5 innings pitched per start. That puts a lot of pressure on a Dodgers bullpen on the road with an ERA well over 4.

Cole Hamels has not been himself this year, but he has plenty of postseason experience, pitches much better at home, and much better at night. This is mostly because he is a changeup pitcher and you can pick up the rotation of the ball much easier during the day time. At night, it's very difficult to differentiate between the fastball and changeup, making him very effective during night starts.

Phillies are 17-5 last 22 playoff games, this team knows how to get it done, and as we saw last year, they know how to close series' out.

Dodgers are just 10-25 last 35 meetings with the Phillies in Philadelphia.

Look for Hamels to go 6 strong innings tonight at least, while Padilla struggles to get out of the 5th.

Phillies 6
Dodgers 3
