Scalpers out front of MSG have anything you need.

that's obvious, but buying good seats for face is a much better option

If you don't mind missing some of the opening band, wait til the show starts and scalpers get desperate. You will get them under face.

Most people panic and overpay early, but the scalpers know they have to dump or get nothing once it gets late.

Use more than one computer and very high speed internet connections (not wireless, not home, T3, etc at an office)

Good luck

Joining fan clubs usually help. Many times they presell to fan club members. Also look on Craigslist the week before the concert, when people can't go and just want to off the tickets.

you can line up at a ticketmaster outlet that is not in the city you are looking to get the ticket, but sells for accross the country... if there is nothing going on in that area you should be first in line.

They will not go on sale at the same time. They do it to protect the local market.

another trick i used to use was to Call Direct to a local outlet that is far away from the city,

For example the number for the one in Ottawa is 613 755 1111. If they sell them for the entire nation there is a better chance that you get through
