its going to be great watching the ex Indians Lee and Sabathia dueling in game 1 of the World Series.Too bad the Indians are so poorly managed but I will take the Yankees in 5.

I've been hoping for this series to come to pass. I think it goes 7 and will have some great battles within a number of games. Too close for me to call. I'm just going to enjoy it and if I see an edge in either a game or prop, will play it. Has all the makings of a classic series IMHO.

If the Phillies bullpen can hold it together, I like their chances a lot. Either way, it should be a great series.

MLB would have loved the story line of Dodgers/Yankees. However, IMO, the Yanks would have won that in 4 or 5 games. This matchup will be much better....

i'm obviously also speaking from a phillies fan standpoint but i think this series is gonna be a good one.both teams have stacked lineups, and both play in the same type stadium. i honestly might rather go to ny and play the yanks in yankee stadium than have to go out to LA, where hitting hr's would become much different and the halos play a much different ball game. teams match up pretty evenly i think, lee been just as lights out as CC, player by player it'd come out pretty close with each team having a better person at certain spots.

won't make a prediction because i think i still underestimate how good the phils actually are and playing in the bronx in october does scare me.

You guys are already counting the Angels out. After they win tonight
two more Angels wins and the Skanks are gone.

i agree, i'm used to seeing all types of comeback wins with the phils. i'm just posting back based on the title of the thread, which was about the phillies playing the yankees.

should the Yankees advance, I'd might lean Phillies if CC doesn't go in game one.

anyone want BJ Burnett pitching games 1, 4 & 7?
