Makes sense if you're a defensive back -- though probably not a full mile. Can't think of too many other reasons why a normal person would ever care to try

I hate running but I do walk backwards on an inclined treadmill once in a while. It is a whole different workout.

Running backwards? Sounds dangerous. Might be best to run backwards on a forgiving surface. Sounds like a head injury waiting to happen. :ohno:
