-170 seems a little high to me... was thinking more along -150 but I see it getting pounded immediately.

phillies look tough man, there will be plenty of people betting on them. nyy's pen is a bit suspect lately, and if they plan to go with a three man rotation I don't see how that can be beneficial against a potent, potent offense like philly

Opens at -150 and closes at -170 is probably right.

Yanks are currently -180 / Angels are +900

Phils are +120

Think there is currently value on the Angels at that price? IMO, looks good (though I hope the Yanks close it out tomorrow).

Yeah they look tough against Colorado, and LA who if combined couldn't put together a pitching staff even close to NY. NY has seen Cliff Lee they have a long history against Pedro then you have Blanton and then Hamels who has been shit all season and don't forgot the shit pen they have had all year and still in the playoffs has somewhat got the job done but only because even they couldn't blow some of the leads they had built up. Different story with AL teams and if its NY or Angels that make it I don't see the series going more than 5. Fact...the phils in the AL east and not the NL east they would not even have made the playoffs.

Here's Pinnacle's line at 12:50 am eastern time on Monday Morning. The Yankees were -196 about an hour ago.

That is fucking laughable... -196 to open!? Now way in hell the books think NYY is THAT much better than Philly, they knew they were gonna get hammered with Yankees money right off the bat and they set it high.

I'm sorry, but under NO circumstances should the Yankees that favored. Had the Angels not given away game 3 with mental errors, bad base running, errors in the field, pitching to A-Rod when they KNEW they shouldn't have... and COUNTLESS other mistakes made through out the series, this one could have quite easily gone seven games (Angels, Yanks)

Do I think the Yankees will win the series? Yes, but those #'s don't tell the whole story. Philly is a very, very potent team... and to everyone saying that NYY is going to eat Philly's pen alive, the Yankees pen isn't exactly blanking people either.

It will be a good series that hopefully will end in 7 games.

IMO phillies pitching is not very good at all cliff lee (wasn't he in triple A 2 years ago) he looks like cy young because he left the AL and pedro goin pitch game to I see phills down 0-2 if this happens and that would be very bad for them the pitching last year was much better against a one year wonder TB they are in trouble much better team they are playing with less pitching

oh you mean aj burnett and andy petitte? give me a break. phillys bats will take care of both of those scrubs. blantons been dirty and cole has not pitched bad in the playoffs. his first game against the rockies his wife went into labor on the same day. errors at critical times cost cole a pretty good era for this post season. i like how you downplay the fact that the phils beat the rays who beat the red sox last year and also beat out the yankees. injuries my ass. the yankees have a 200 million dollar payroll. suck it. i would also like to mention that the phils should have swept the yankees this year. dont think the phils dont know it. they are going to be very confident going into this series, and thats why i got the phillies at 9/2 odds when they were playin the rockies. holler.
