i hate them. i sat here in front of the tv and and talked about it here while it was happening. makes me feel like one of them old ladies who yaps on the phone with her neighbor about the soap opera.

costs definitely plus fines, im not for putting them in prison. our tax dollars can go to better use. hit them in the wallet where it hurts, keep prisons for the dangerous criminals

some serious time doing community service, and paying for the choppers and such then is OK !

But they likely can't afford to pay the costs involved.

I think the parents are somewhat unfit, and losing the kids is reasonable.

A huge fine means little...if it can't be reasonably paid.

Fineing some average Joe 2M is meaningless, like sentencing somebody to to 7 life sentences, lacks meaning.

I'd seriously consider taking these kids from these weirdos in FC.

BTW: My brother lives in that small town, but we aren't on friendly terms.

be serious doug, they have no criminal record, and putting the kids in foster care will only be bad for them.

i agree they cant pay that much. id say a year community service, 25-50,000 fine.

The dad does in fact have a criminal record. I think they need to find some sort of technicality that they can get him for a felony. I would think that launching that balloon must be some sort of felony according to FAA regulations. This guy needs to do several years in prison to be made an example of.
