No, but this is simply a price thing. The market has not valued Pettite more than Burnett all season, but are pricing the Yankees at a higher price than when Burnett was pitching against Saunders earlier this series. Nothing has transpired since to make me think a bump in price is warranted. Saunders is really in a groove right night. He has pitched 6 QS in his last 7 outings, including 2 of them against the Yankees. He has struggled badly against the Yankees in the past, but these two starts against a hot Yankees lineup makes me think he is using a different approach. Pettite has not had past success against the Angels, and I like backing the Angels with their back against the wall.
do u think this lofty price which seems 30-40 cents too high, is books charging the premium for people on 3 game chase on yankees to win alcs?
this was a common theme i saw amongst alot of posters who took the yankees at + money last game, and i really think this line is overinflated due to the fact books realize people are "doubling down" to chase the 3 games to close it out...
how else could u justify pettitte as -170 over a strong right handed hitting .300 team?
if im correct, pettitte was -165 over the hapless twins in decisive game of that series vs pavano, and he pitched bad enough to lose and was bailed out by b2b HR late in the game, and terrible base running by nick punto.....just comparing the 2 games......i think the angels pose a little more of a threat than the +155 twins did that day

I was going to go heavy on the Yanks till i found out Pettite was pitching. He's so overrated in NY. He's a lousy pitcher and always was. His record would be a lot worse if the Yanks weren't such a great offensive team. Pettite really sucks, so i'm going to take a chance on the Angels. I just hope they don't freeze up in NY.
