Speaking of laptops. Mine is only 9 months old and it already feels outdated. The same 400 I spent can get me something superior at Best Buy.

They have a disclaimer about that.

Sort of sez they make every effort to erase it, yadayadayada, but aren't responsible. I think it's all legal BS, and they clear the drive just fine, but I can't gaurantee that.

Their rep is good.

They offered me ( today) over $200 for my old laptop with a shot battery ( original cost of maybe $450...2 years ago ). I accepted. Just bought a new one for $349 on Thur/day. I was expecting like $100.

They did what they said on the last one I sold them, and likewise for someone I referred there.

This place seems very legit to me.

I like Windows7, so far. Vista has bugs.

I'll report back on the payment. Offer can be adjusted. It's hard to buy stuff sight unseen.

Basically anything over $150 is cool with me, as I was expecting like $75-100.

$200+ seems real high to me, when I can buy a new one for $350-500.

I can't figure out who buys refurbished cheap laptops ?

However this place is legit, IMO.

I'd certainly accept a free dead laptop from anybody wanting to toss it.

Very interested. Thanks Doug.

You are welcome, friend !

I'm no scammer ( note my 27k posts here), this place ( CFLT) has done me right, before. If you are overly worried about data on a hard drive, then do like the guys in that office something movie ( with the stapler guy), or melt it with a torch or something.

I'm just passing it on. I'm selling my old laptop to them, not worried about it.

nevermind, i checked myself. It's too old to buy. I tried it and it won't even turn on. Anyone know how to properly throw away a laptop?

doubt it but you could sell it to a construction company... I bet they would pay good money for a high tech brick
