By the way, what kind of hitting coach could he be, he never learned to hit in all his years in the majors.
listening to larussa talk about mcgwire today...
tlr is mcgwire's biggest fan...
he said that mcgwire knows hitting from a mechanical & mental approach...& he would really help the club offensively
larussa watched mcgwire work w/individual players in cali & was very impressed with what he saw...
two problems...mcgwire still has to address the media about the steroid era & his performance in front of congress...which could be a distraction on the road...lets say rasmus hits 40 homeruns next year...the media is going to think mcgwire was giving him something...just too much baggage...
& mcgwire is not just working w/one guy anymore...its the entire roster...he has never done that before...larussa must feel sorry that he pinch hit kerry robinson for mcgwire & that was the last ab of his career
