PPR league. I'm currently just outside the playoff window, the offer was proposed by the first place team (5-1). Top 4 teams make playoffs. He's gotten some lucky victories, I don't think his team is that much better than mine, I just think I've gotten unlucky production out of my RB corp. I know both of our teams look pretty juiced, we have some 1 win teams in the league

My roster:

Jay Cutler, CHI
Donovan McNabb, PHI
Matt Forte, CHI
Brian Westbrook, PHI
Brandon Jacobs, NYG
Tashard Choice, DAL
Wes Welker, NE
Larry Fitzgerald, ARI
Miles Austin, DAL
Steve Smith, CAR
Eddie Royal, DEN
Donnie Avery, STL
Brent Celek, PHI
Eagles DST
Broncos DST
Dan Carpenter, MIA

His roster:

Philip Rivers, SD
Ben Roethlisberger, PIT
Adrian Peterson, MIN
Kevin Smith, DET
Larry Johnson, KC
Cadillac Williams, TB
Jonathon Stewart, CAR
Donald Brown, IND
Reggie Wayne, IND
Andre Johnson, HOU
Steve Smith, NYG
Bernard Berrian, MIN
Santana Moss, WAS
Dallas Clark, IND
Jets DST
Nate Kaeding, SD

I give:

Jay Cutler, CHI
Wes Welker, NE
Steve Smith, CAR

He gives:

Ben Roethlisberger, PIT
Kevin Smith, DET
Steve Smith, NYG

I obviously lose one of my big time studs in Welker and a possible animal on any given day in Steve Smith, CAR. But who the hell knows. Delhomme is having one of the worst seasons ever and is diminishing all of Smith's value. Jay Cutler has been doing well for me but weeks like this last one are a major headache.

I think I get a great bit of return given the weakness of my QB and RB stables. Forte is playing like a low-end RB2 instead of the top 5 talent I drafted him as. Chicago's D is playing like garbage and the Bears are having to abandon the run real early. Westbrook is playing solid enough but only because of his receiving ability. Still, he's healthy and playing well. Jacobs is a consistent 10-12 point player a week but I feel K. Smith is going to have a better final 10 weeks than ANY of them.

K Smith, Westbrook, & Forte weekly COULD be good with Fitz and Austin tearing through D's. Steve Smith if the match-up is great as I do think he's going to drop off considerably. With the other options on that team, Eli's going to be looking solely for the open man.

Now here's the main thing with this trade. Me and him square off in week 8. Welker has a bye, so helps me, and Roethlisberger has a bye which helps him.

Thoughts???:smoking:

Wow.....I"d say this trade is pretty even.

The only thing I think many experienced players may be wary of is wondering Giants' WR Steve Smith will continue to put up those numbers.

As for Forte, Jay Cutler's passing-presence may be making up for the disappearance of the RB, so letting go of Cutler & depending on Forte each week may be something you have to think about.

And would you even consider ever playing Kevin Smith over Forte, Jacobs, and Westbrook?

In my opinion, you give up just a litttttttttttle bit more in the trade & would hold off.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it's coincidence that New England's offense starting clicking with a healthy or almost healthy Wes Welker....

Most weeks I would start K Smith over Forte and Jacobs. Quite frankly, I'm on my last nerve holding out for Forte every week behind that makeshift O-Line and now Lovie Smith's love for the passing attack. There is not a person on the roster that takes carries from K Smith and he's a RB1 in PPR leagues. Even despite their pitfalls, the Lions have shown they will not abandon the running game.

I don't believe Steve Smith, NYG can continue what he's doing but most weeks I'm starting Fitz and Austin. Watching Miles Austin out there with his 215 lb frame and great speed, shake off tackles like flies, is quite encouraging. K Smith, Westbrook, Jacobs, Fitz, Austin, is something I very much like the idea of. That said, Welker IS the effin' man.

Now with Westbrook's injury...does this make it a trade I have to take?
