Took the day off yesterday. Results indicate the NFL is growing wider in the haves and have nots as I don't recall a year where there are so many bad teams and there are no great teams, only a few good ones. The double digit spreads started early in the season and are rising rapidly. Normally, you don't see these kind of numbers until December. The league is in it's weakest state as far as having quality talent and decent coaching IMHO. With that said, we turn to tonight's game with two more teams that are struggling but I'll play this one.

Year To Date Record: 13-12 (+1.20)

3* (13-12)(+1.20)

3* Philadelphia/Washington Under 38 (-105) Sportsinteraction

Good luck everyone!

I hear you. As I said, the league is so weak, that oddity in play is more common place then consistency. Best of luck tonight.

Atleast my Yankees are in the series. Philly is going to be tough to beat though.

Yep! Congrats. I have been hoping for these two to meet in the World Series. Felt all year they were the best two teams. This has all the makings of a possible classic series. Really hope it lives up to what these two teams bring to the field. I hope it goes 7. Not really rooting for either side and have no financial interest, just want to see baseball played at it's highest level and enjoy it.

there will be no sweep in this series. It will go atleast 6 anyways. With my yankees and a rod making a huge presence

Agree! A-Rod is on fire and the Yankees are deep, deep, deep but so was Ryan Howard in the NLCS and the Phillies can match scoring. Pitching will be the difference. Just don't know who will step up. Can't wait until Wednesday.

Ted,

I think you were able to take my exact thoughts and put them into words perfectly.

You usually don't see these double digit spreads until the end of the year. The parity in the NFL is weakening. Colts, Packers, Patriots, etc big favorites continue to cover at a very strange rate.

I had the Browns this week as a 9 point dog against the Packers and it was mind boggling how this team simply can NOT score.

Todd Haley coaches the Chiefs. This guy didn't even play high school football, and he was a golfer in college. Talk about head coaches being down.

It's all about the haves and the have nots right now. Bill Belichick is night and day a better coach than Raheem Morris. Tom Cable is choking people. Rex Ryan is a coordinator, not a head coach.

College has more parity the the NFL right now. The question is, how long until we see a bunch of 16, 17 and 18 point spreads in the NFL?

I've got the same play, good luck on your action tonight.

Box:

It's really great to hear from you and congratulations on an outstanding football season so far and thank you for all your contributions. As you know, I am fully aware of the time it takes to provide the write-ups that you do and unfortunately my duties don't allow me all the time that I used to have when I was sharing my reasoning on my plays.

As to the NFL, I must say that in all my years I have never seen such a wide gap in the good and the bad. We are getting lines like some college games. Unfortunately, these are paid professionals that are poorly coached and just don't perform. It is sad to watch the play deteriorate the way it has.

As for tonight, nice to hear we see the game the same way. Best of luck and don't be a stranger. The torch has been passed to you but don't forget about the oldman. @)
