I guess it will somewhat.

If Iowa wins the national title this season they will be the top choice to be ranked #1 in most preseason polls next season and if they lose two or more(much more apt to happen then the former), I could see voters giving them no respect and thus they would be fortunate to even be ranked in the top ten.

Cousins is the best QB in B10 now and will only get better. 2 Frosh RB's are pimps.
D will be stout.

Going through a very similar season thus far as Iowa did last year.

They will give Iowa all they want in the B10 in 2010.

But I agree, tough team overall.

Iowa may not make a bowl next season, as they could finish 6-6 just as easily as they could go 12-0(i think they play 12 games).

indiana's secondary sucks nards and i doubt indiana can move the ball on our D

luckily the game running game won't be of much need i don't think and with robinson being out it will force iowa to throw more than it wants vs. a crappy secondary....

northwestern worries me alot more than indiana as a hawkeye fan

yeah mich state is alot better than their record for sure

their D especially secondary is tough

cousins pretty good but versus a D like iowa umm...well you saw....LOL

maybe they should begin next year at number one, but that's not relevant.

The preseason number one is reserved for just a few pampered programs, deserving or not. Them somebody has to prove they were undeserving 3 times before they're dropped from BCS consideration.
