cc only let up 4 hits. 2 were garbage meatballs to utley who needs a pitch like that to even get a hit. phillies will only win 2 games at MOST behind lee. ill take a.j vs pedro any day...oh and hammels against pettite? pettite all day. after the yanks take a 2-1 lead in this series...lets see where "all of a sudden phillies fans" post. was bitting my lip for a long time not to say a word but all of this hype is getting a little too ridiculous. good luck to whatever your plays are and break the books! thank u for letting me vent.

Have to disagree with you njmaker. AJ Burnett is not the pitcher I want on the mound for a game that would change the momentum in this series. He did not impress me in the Angels series whatsoever. Best of luck to your team, but Phillies looks damn impressive. No Angel bias here, the better team won. You guys deserved to win in a big way. Just sharing my opinion.

those toxic fumes in N. Jersey have obviously gotten to you...Phils bitch slapped your "tough lineup" (aka:pussies)

Phils beat him as a Brewer in the playoffs and BEAT him last night...so,we now know Lee will beat him head to head and we have the superior lineup offensively and rested superior bullpen

up there in disgusting N. Jersey/New York, wear a gas mask, you'll be lucky to get this to a 6th game...

ps. when "C.C." IS READY FOR SEX, DOES IT TAKE 10 MINUTES DOWN THERE TO FIND IT? what a disgusting excuse for an "athlete"

I'll admit it...If it was anyone else but Lee on the mound CC would have got the win. But it wasn't so he got the L.

As for tonight:
Better regular season ERA - Pedro
Better post season ERA - Pedro
Better regular season record - Pedro
Better post season record - Push
Who's GAME TIME? - Pedro

12 hr. prediction - Phillies up 2-0!

Agreed. I don't know how you don't take the Phillies at +180 tonight with Burnett on the mound. Phils will be motivated to send this one to Philly up 2-0.

Lol, very objective! Pedro has struggled against the Skankees even when he was in his prime, and he ISN'T in his prime. But he has pitched well thus far and HE isn't the one with a ton of pressure on him. That would be A(lways) J(umpy) Burnett, and although I wouldn't be surprised if Pedro got lit up, you'd better believe the same can happen to Always Jumpy easier than Fat Boy CC can break wind while eating beans. The thought of the Phillie lefties, particularly Howard, facing a get-me-over fastball from AJ once he starts to feel the pressure is not a pretty thought for Skank backers. Btw, A-Fraud seems to be cooling off a bit, doesn't he?:dancefool:lolBIG::laugh::toast:

Right because if they were down 1-0, they would be less motivated. Is motivation really a factor in a World Series game??? :ohno:

Uh, no, I've been calling him A-Fraud for YEARS, even BEFORE he was shown to be a fraud earlier this season with not only the juicing revelations and that he had lied about same, but his ridiculous explanation for it-him, his cousin and a mysterious doctor back in the DM, lol!! And, I don't think that two good postseason series (one of which is against the Twins, who, to put it mildly, are not an impressive postseason team) wipes out YEARS of postseason choking. They mentioned that A-Fraud had only struck out three times in one game against the same pitcher ONCE all season (against, of all people, Cole Hamel). And Chunky Chocolate hadn't given up a dinger to a lefty at Skank Stadium even ONCE all season! Bad luck, huh?<><>:think2::laugh:

I think some philly backers are still worried that NY is going to win the series (which they will after they win tonite) so they have to make themselves feel at ease.
