So some of you may of experienced this, some maybe not, I never thougth it was that big of a deal until 3 weeks ago when I tried to seed my lawn with winter grass! Sigh,,:ohno: well the pigeons had other ideas, namely that the seeed would be better in thier Fing BEAKS!

I threw rocks, I chased them off, only to be on the opposite side of my lawn, and they would land and eat on the Opposite side, lol, yes this is a pathetic comedy,

Im done,,, Ive wasted a couple hund, and this is going nowhere,,,

Please tell me Hypothetically if someone were to poison a pigeon, how would they do it? Hypothetically speaking, could they mix some drano in a bunch of seed then just put it out for the pigeons to eat?

please help, and dont give me the "thats cruel BS."

thank you

spray. i got a bottle of spectracide because i was having a problem with spiders, got a big jug of that stuff for about 30 bucks for indoor and outdoor treatment. it's pretty toxic and supposed to be effective for up to 9 months. it's for insects, but i'm pretty sure it would fuck some pigeons up enough to say the hell with this yard.

Not good...you'll kill a lot of the beneficial insects and the lawn will suffer

the only beneficial insects in my yard are the ones that eat my dog's turds

You would likely be astonished at the number of insects living in your yard that are vital to a healthy ecosystem.

For one...fire ants.

Fire ants eat fleas, ticks and chiggers (or if you prefer - the more politically correct "cheegroes").

Fire ants and several other species of ants species aerate the ground which makes your grass more vital and deep rooted.

At my old office in Vancouver we had a problem with Crows, the tech park was built near their old roost.

At about 530 every night the sky would blacken with easily 500-600 birds. They would shit all over, the noise was deafening. The owner of the office building I was in hired a falconer. It took about a week of sending the falcon up every night to get the birds to move a mile down the road. It didn't kill the crows, they just relocated to a different building so then they became McDonalds problem not ours.

alka seltzer...and sit back and laugh at the explosion as if it were the 4th of july....used to have a problem with piping plovers until the hippie dept. decided that they were endangered and needed their own territtory to spawn....thus no more fireworks or it's jail time!

When you water your lawn add a touch of liquid dish soap. They can't stand it. Don't laugh, it works. Cheegroes!!!!!! Now that's funny.
