I know Stockton was a great player and deserves his spot in the Hall. Now that Ray Allen has passed him in points scored how do NBA fans feel about Allen's chances of making it to Springfield one day?

Allen has 19,715 points now with at least this year remaining on a stellar career. He is a nine time NBA AllStar, 53rd all time in minutes played, his 6876 field goals are 61st all time and counting, 977 games are 10th all time, 2306 three point field goals are 2nd all time (1st of any player active), Ray's .895 Free Throw % is 5th all time. His career FG % from the floor of .574 is 56th all time, Ray's 37.3 minutes played per game is 30th all time. There are more stats but I think you can judge from those.

Allen won an Olympic gold medal as a member of the 2000 United States Men's Basketball Team.

In college Allen attended the University of Connecticut from 1993 to 1996, where he earned All-American status and was named USA Basketball's Male Athlete of the Year in 1995. In 1995-96, his final college season, Allen was a first-team All-American and won the Big East Player of the Year award. Allen finished his UConn career third on the Huskies' career scoring list with 1,922 points and set a single-season school record by connecting on 115 three-pointers in 1995-96.

In 2001, he was named honorary captain of the 25-member UConn All-Century Basketball Team. On February 5, 2007, his name and number were honored at Connecticut's Gampel Pavilion during the "Huskies of Honor" ceremony at halftime of the men's basketball game against the Syracuse Orange.

Allen was Selected as NBA Spokesman for the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund.
He also started the "Ray of Hope" Foundation to assist charities in several communities.

Hell of a basketball player is Ray Allen (and not just because he plays for the Celtics now) He was a star with Milwaukee and with Seattle. One word can describe Ray Allen's game and that word is "Clutch"...

I hope he makes it to the HOF when his time comes...
