How do you go against Cliff Lee right now? His stuff is just nasty right now. His breaking ball is sharp and the depth on the pitch is just nasty right now. Baseball is a game of streaks and staying hot, and Lee is the hot hand right now vs a Yankee lineup that knows they struggled against him last time. Lee has the mental advantage on the Yankees, and despite A-Rods big hit last night and homer the game before, he has not been swinging it well. I still think Damon is useless in the 2 hole, especially against Lee. Teixera has not shown up this post season.
Ryan Howard can't possibly perform any worse at this point. And with Chase Utley and Jason Werth tearing it up, expect Howard to get some more pitches to hit tonight. Howard crushes right handed pitching, and at home I expect him to break out tonight with a big knock.
Obviously this is a must win for Philly, but even more so I think the Yankees want to win this World Series at home in their new stadium in it's first year.
With the Yankee lineup a bit battered down, and the inconsistent AJ Burnett pitching on the road this time, I expect the Phillies to outslug the Yankees tonight and take Game 5 rather easily.
