Only once has the MVP come from the losing side in a World Series, and it shouldn't have: Bobby Richardson of the Skanks won it in the 1960 WS against the Pirates. The Skanks set several offensive records that stand to this day, because they won three games by the scores of 10-0, 12-0, and 16-3 and Richardson knocked in a lot of runs in those routs. Of course, the Pirates managed to win 4 games by closer scores, and it's still the only WS in history to end in Game 7 on a home run.
