I was talking about this Last Night with some friends....Turned into a small Fight !! LOL

I said it Oklahoma / Texas, they say it's Army / Navy.....

Now I know, the Army/Navy game is BIG !!
Even my Wife told me stories, because the game was played in Philly

OSU/Michigan.

Texas OU only became big again after 2002. It was a regional broadcast for so many years.

OSU/Michigan was the landmark rivalry game for decades.

Army/Navy is the only one that you could argue tops OSU/UM

OU/Nebraska

i know, i know, i'm an OU homer, but just wait till these teams are both in the top 10. the Big 12 really needs to find a way to let these two teams play every year.

OU/Texas is a good one too, but i would not think of rating it ahead of OU/Nebraska.

despite what some people like to argue, OU/OSU is more a mini rivalry. It's huge for OSU and once every 10 years or so they get to storm the field, but it's not really that big of a deal for OU.

Outside the Big 12, i'd go with OSU/Michigan, even if both teams are in a down year. Something about watching a college football game at that time of year with over a 100,000 fans packed into the stadium.

USC/Notre Dame, but only if both teams are good.

Texas/Texas A&M. Talk about the school of hard knocks when these teams play, even if it's a one sided game.

Definitely agree that it is OSU / Michigan. It has always been a huge game for us Michigan fans even if we have a down year. It also pisses off Sparty knowing that our biggest rival is OSU and not them.

Gotta think at the present there is none bigger than Alabama/LSU......
Fans here still love Saban but after Miles starting winning Nick insinuated a few times that he was doing it with "his" players, true or not i think there is really no love lost at all between these 2 coaches and there is no bigger game that they want more...
And now that they are both contending it can only get bigger..

The best rivalry is whatever TV media money hypes. Obviously in present years it would be a SE conference mashup- take your pick. In court of opinion, big ten osu/mich case suffers because of conference weakness and because Mich has been a no show for many years. The question was weak in that it framed itself in the present tense. Looking past the boring present tense choices, there are great past rivalries; USC-UCLA, Tex- OKA, OKA- Neb, Yale-Harvard, army-navy. My overall choice would be the obvious answer, Oklahoma-Nebraska.

The answer you get will depend almost entirely on what part of the country a person is from. Ohio State/Michigan is huge in Big 10 country, but has never even been on the radar in the South. Texas/OU and Texas/Texas A&M have been enormous for 100 years down here, but folks on the West Coast don't think about them much. Fans of Army/Navy are living on history from the 1930s and don't care anything about USC/UCLA.

The short answer is this: The biggest rivalry is the one your own team plays in.
