Blinds were just $10, it was unraised preflop, and the other guy just made it $100 to go on a rag flop of 6-6-2. I think trying to coax LOOK11111 into the hand is an afterthought here.


I think reraising was the correct move. I'm gonna assume the worst possible hand he could have had when he threw $100 on the flop is a pair of overcards. If he missed, he'll fold to you on the turn but you made him pay to see it. If he hit, you take more chips off him. Same 2 scenarios apply if there wasn't a reraise, but if he missed the turn and folded, you never got a chance to make him pay to see it.


If he had a monster like overpair pocket 9's, you want to get the chips in as early as possible while his hand is still a monster - allow an Ace or King to come on the turn and he might just turn timid.
