Very cool intro tonight, in honor of the Jimmy the Greek special tomorrow night......

They come to studio and its Brent Mussberger, Phyllis George and Irv Cross at the desk, just like the old days...

damn, Phyllis George STILL looks good after all these years...those guys along with Jimmy were the original crew that i watched every week....even before i was betting, still couldnt wait to see Jimmy tell ya what to bet.....

They were the pioneers of this industry, and it was great to see them back together at the desk...

glad they were all willing to do it.....

Agree...Phyllis doesn't look bad, even in HD.

That cbs old school digital intro where the player makes at cut before the Irv Cross name brought back memories...wow !!

jimmy the greek, have to give him credit, cause he had to make his picks on cbs w/o mentioning the spread. so's he had to be creative to get his point across. just the opposite of the way 'the swami' puts out his picks.

shook his hand one nite in the barbary coast; slow weekday nite, he was in there playing some parlays, sweating the games, everybody was messing w/him, but he took it all in stride, no problem.

should be a good program. espn does a nice job.

true story jimmy used to call phyllis that dumb fuckin' broad off camera..........jimmy whether he was a big winner or loser was an icon in the gambling industry..........good stuff

Oh, i really liked him too, but there was no doubt he didnt have a lot of "tact"...he said what he thought, and it got him in trouble more than once....he was the "Bobby Knight" of the hosting circuit.....

he was definitely NOT P-C.....and today, he wouldnt have lasted.....just like a show like "All in the Family" would never last today, it wouldnt be allowed to...things were different back then
