In point of fact I DON"T hate the Hawks. I admire the game they played w/o Stanzi on Sat.! And given their (Iowa fans) track record for attendance @ bowl games, can't blame any bowl for wanting them. i.e. would much rather see them in the Fiesta than Boise. How about Hawks vs Pitt/Cincy? :toast:
Iowa has to defeat MINN for any chance at a BCS BOWL(obviously).
I think PITT-CINCY-BOISE ST-TCU-IOWA are all very equal and all very, very good football teams and any matchup involving any of them playing each other would make for a GREAT FOOTBALL game.........we actually have that in PITT/CINCY coming up.
I'm just thankful for the computers in the BCS formula in that it allowed the Hawks to be ranked ahead of PSU and WISKY(as well they should be) in the BCS standings.
Iowa's rout over Iowa State(bowl bound) is looking really good, as well as their win over Arizona(bowl bound)...........We all know PSU played nobody out of conference.
It has been a fun year following the Hawks........with 20 of 24 starters back next season plus players coming back from injury and some quality recruits coming in, Iowa will start the season ranked higher in the preseason then they have in the past 50 years IF THEY BEAT MINNESOTA AND WIN THEIR BOWL GAME.........TWO BIG IF'S.
Of course, with these voters, there is chance Iowa may not be in the top 20 to start the season..........and I'm sure PSU will be 6th or 7th, LOL.
You must be kidding w/the "IF" before the W vs my sorry GG. The supposed best recruiting class in 10 yrs, and w/the weapons we had, getting 16 lucky ones vs SDSt is a disgrace. Hawks 35/10! Pitt vs Bearcats s/b a great one. As long as "Wanny" doesn't have to think too much.

They'll be playing in the Orange vs GT. He just gave his BCS lineup, Rose OSU/Or, Sugar Bama/TCU, Fiesta Oh Boise/Cincy. I think Pitt beats the Bearcats, making it very interesting. But, as I said, travel potential will be & is a huge consideration for all the bowls. And Cincy, Pitt, & Boise don't have it when compared to Iowa or LSU. His darkhorse in the race was OkSt?
