You need to know 1 thing, Insurance companies NEVER lose, they dont,,,

they are built to be bullet proof, and you gotta remember they write the policy, theyve doen the math,

they will cover a portion of the repair, just not the engine block rebuild? its always sht like that,,,

make that 20.00 a month payment and see what happens, and whats excluded from repair, lol, ask them to cover your ac repairs and battery,, lol if you live in AZ like I do, I would bankrupt that company, lololol

Thanks Tate and Doug. I feel the same way. Did not think of doing an in-depth search of these guys, but trying to help a friend who has bought so much crap from infomercials it makes me sick.

American greed at its best. IMHO

Yeh, Tate:

Only insure what you need to, like car insurance ( liability) is a must for legal reasons. Health insurance is nice to have, as is life insurance for your family.

I pass on insurance for a refrigerator, for example.

This car repair insurance is surely a ripoff, it's not catastrophic if your tranny dies on you, not like it's 200k to repair it, like if your house burned down.

Great post here from another site:

This is not a direct attack on anyone. i use the term "Moron" and "Morons" only for those who recognize themselves as such. If you are NOT a Moron, the term will not apply to you.

That said, here is my reply to the thread:

Morons,

These companies do not offer an extended warranty. What they are doing is skirting state and federal laws that require a pro-rated refund on such warranties by instead offering the warranty as part of a consumer product guarantee (hence the required purchase of additives, etc). THEY ARE SELLING A PRODUCT AND NOT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY

You see, if you get denied, say, 3 months into a 5 year extended warranty contract, you are allowed to cancel and receive a refund for the unused term. This would mean these scammers (who often find excuses to never pay) would have to return most of the premium or charge they conned you...er' "charged you".

What they do by making the warranty connected to a product is eliminate their risk or requirement to return an unused portion because you have paid for the product with your $2800 or so and they are not required to provide you a pro-rated refund.

This company along with others (look up their parent and owners) are often run by convicted felons (as in the case of US Fidelis).

Morons beware. You DESERVE to lose your money if you think paying $2800 for a contract is better than saving the money for needed repairs, or spending the same monthly amount on a cheap, but new car or car lease.

Please, Morons, continue to go broke and make bad decisions, for the rest of us rely upon you to:
--Serve us at Starbucks
--Wait on us at MacDonalds
--Clean our hotel rooms
--Pick our produce
--Deliver our pizzas.

The rest of you, wise up and save your cash.
Yours truly,
Moronhunter

I get scam warranty letters in the mail all the time. Some of them almost look like they come right from the manufacture.

I'm glad you put this on here kid44. I was thinking about doing so myself a few weeks ago. I actually called them to check it out, and I was curious, but the clincher was, they were very pushy about getting my cc #. So red flags immediately went up.....

Dad is progressing, slowly but any progression is good.. He had a massive stroke, but his brain is coming back..

It was exactly a month ago.
