when i did factory work, i had a buddy that was a big arkansas fan. i always bet on OU no matter what, as i was young and not really aware of value and all that.
anyways, in 2000 i bet him -- i don't even remember how much it was, something like 500 bucks or so -- that OU would go undefeated and win it all. i also bet him an additional amount -- something like 25 bucks per -- for every game more that OU would win than arkansas. not only was this the year that i would get fired from my job (poor attendance), but was also the year OU went undefeated and won it all.
and he paid up too, he could have easily told me to fuck off, wasn't much i coulda done.
