Great movie that I had forgot all about. The part with Caan in the tub losing on the Laker game at the end I think we all here can relate to.

I finally got to see this over the weekend. Viej, if not for this post I would have not thought to rent it. I usually don't go for older movies (this one is 1974). But this was AWESOME! It is an absolute must see for all of us gambling degenerates. What a whacked out ending. You know what's funny, I actually feel like that sometimes. Caan is brilliant. Great movie.

Even when things might go your way in the gambling world, you can still feel a sense of exhaustion and despair. And you just throw common sense out the window. The film captures that PERFECTLY.

wasn't mine, VD recommended it and rob gave it a hearty 2nd. surprised i've never seen it myself. this was also around the time the original godfather came out, so caan was probably "in the zone"
