well i ordered a Yankees piece online for a Christmas gift and the package showed up the other day. Seller did as nice a job of packaging as i could imagine, so ups must have put in alot of effort to have it arrive like this.

That sucks but I will have to admit I did laugh a little. I blame it more on the sender. When you go to a UPS store you can wrap it yourself and really protect your product.

the item was in a big box, around the frame there was another box protecting the item, the inner box was surrounded by thick bubble wrap and tons of tape. The outer box looked like it had been crushed or run over. The seller marked it as fragile do not crush, so they probably stacked a tv or something on top of it

seller contacted me and said the claim would take 8-10 days to go through and i might have to show the packaging material and piece to ups, wtf is that all about, suppose to sit on my hands for 2 weeks while they wait to decide if they fucked up.

i told the seller my partial refund to get the glass fixed shouldnt hinge on ups decision, because no matter what he owes me money, just whether or not he gets refunded in the end

dont blame it on the driver. trust me when i say its the loaders/package handlers. I used to work for UPS as one and people dont even give a fucking about the packages its crazy, they are handled with NO care whatsoever, thrown around, stepped on etc. really is a joke.

i worked at ups part-time in the 90's on the 3rd shift sorting and loading for next day air. fragile don't mean shit. when you have sups on you about hitting your mar and pressing you to squeeze as many packages into a container as you can you just chuck that shit in there. especially if you have a heavy load/container that gets alot of volume, you ain't got time to separate light stuff and heavy stuff and try to rearrange shit. plus if you only knew how many hands it has to go through before it gets to you and how many containers and trucks and planes and miles of conveyor belt it went through.

I've heard that UPS guys are under some real pressure. Around where I live I always see a bunch of UPS guys outside the convenience store drinking. They say it's hell working there, that it's basically owned by the mafia.
