Report: Clausen hit by fan outside South Bend bar

The hits keep coming for Notre Dame.

But the latest one might have left a mark......

Multiple reports say Irish QB Jimmy Clausen was punched by a fan outside a South Bend, Ind. bar early Sunday morning, following Notre Dame's double-OT loss to Connecticut on Saturday.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Clausen was left with a black eye after the incident.

The Tribune says an employee at CJ's Pub confirmed Clausen was there with family members and other team members, but said the incident "absolutely did not take place inside the bar."
The paper also reported that South Bend police say they had no reports filed over the weekend with Clausen's name.

I made some good money this year going against ND. ( Nice money this past week, vs. Uconn )

That's it. Lets go assuming shit now. Clausen who has been the entire team this year is going to go out of his way with his family to make comments. That guy should be praising Clausen because without him the Irish would have lost to Purdue, Michigan State, Washington, and Boston College.

Not give a shit? Your kidding me right? Do you know how much work Clausen has put in his entire life and over the summers while being at Notre Dame to get to this point. You and others may be thinking to get to 6-5? Clausen is set to be a top 10 pick in the draft this year if he opts to come out. Did you ever think the idiot punching him is trying to be the "cool" guy who suckered Clausen?

making assumptions is a fun game, we'll see what really went down if the details ever come out.

As much as you may respect Claussen, you don't just walk up to a person and sucker punch him without there being another side to it.

You can't be serious, this happens all the time, have you been to a bar lately???????? someone getting suckered punched for no reason is common, no words need to be said to provoked, just look at someone the wrong way by mistake and some idiot is going to go postal thinking the wrong thing, celibrity or not, fact of life dude.

YES YES YES!!!! LMAO!!!! I was in a great mood today and damn if you havent somehow made it better with that comment!! I hate that piece of garbage, ive made ALOT off that douche especially against Navy and this past week against uconn, he stinks and I dont see him playing for anyone in the nfl unless he comes back and thrills the nation next year :laugh:

don't know what kinds of bars you go to but the sports ones here don't have sucker punching, even with jets/giants fans. Just all talk.
