IOWA may pass OHIO ST today in BCS standings

Why/how???

OSU was 10th AND IOWA 11th in last weeks poll.

However, OSU was ranked 8th in the coaches and IOWA 13th.................OSU will only move one spot up to 7th and Iowa will pass THREE teams and move into the 10th spot in all liklihood.........surpassing GT, OKIE STATE, and PITTSBURGH!

Two other pluses............IOWA will close some small ground on PSU in the coaches poll as a couple voters will realize what a farce it is to have PSU ranked ahead of Iowa after reading/hearing about all the backlash and looking further into why in the hell they have PSU ranked ahead of Iowa.............AND IOWA will have improved their computer ratings because of ARIZONA's win and NEBRSKA'S win(thanks ISU).

IOWA and OSU will be very, very, very close in the BCS STANDINGS..........with a 55-45 chance that Iowa will actually be ranked ahead of them.............watch and see!!!

IMPOSSIBLE for Iowa to be playing in Tampa...........it will be a BCS bowl game for the Hawks(Orange/Fiesta) or the Capital One Bowl in Orlando.

If they play in Orlando, the match-up may be the greatest in CapitalONE bowl history..........

1. Possibly two top ten teams(LSU/IOWA).

2. A re-match/revenge game for LSU after losing the same bowl game to the Hawks on the last play of the game a few years ago.

RIGHT NOW, I CAN'T SEE HOW IOWA WILL NOT BE PLAYING IN A BCS BOWL GAME.............ESPECIALLY IF THEY SHOULD SOMEHOW PASS UP OSU in the bcs standings(35% chance of happening).

Iowa's bcs bowl chances would greatly improve over PSU if indeed Iowa were to move ahead of OSU in the bsc rankings.

UPDATE.........as anticipated, OSU moves up one spot to 7th in the coaches and IOWA has moved up three spots to #10.

And as noted, with ARIZONA and NEBRASKA winning this weekend, IOWA will gain ground in the computers in the BCS also..........

I'm telling you, IOWA will be right on Ohio State's heels in the BCS STANDINGS released later today............and may actually overtake them.

After intensely studying the BCS current standings.......it appears IOWA will still be slightly behind OSU when the new poll comes out in a few hours.

Hopefully OSU will be 8th and Iowa 9th...........

silver dont mind Fisher he just remembers his youth and gets carried away with the hawks... only 2 people that care on this site are probably me and him due to BSU might play them others will watch there paint dry on there shed :drink:

Where they finish in the BCS standings makes absolutely no difference. The BCS bowls are going to pick what they think are the most interesting, revenue generating games.
