As a ND fan im sad because I like Weis as a person, but he just couldn't get the job done. He will have a nice chunk of change coming to him and will be back in the NFL next year. South Bend awaits the arrival of Bob Stoops.

My fan vote would be Urban Meyer but I know he isn't going anywhere so my realistic vote is for Stoops.

ND is going to fork out some serious cash on the buyout, maybe 18 mil or so.

And then the new contract, I know its ND but you have to wonder if money will impact this decision.

I don't see Stoops going to ND, not a good fit.

Money is no factor when it comes to Notre Dame.

I heard the school told Weis to stop recruiting a week ago. So it won't be long before we hear the news of his firing. If they were smart they would hire Kelly. I think he's the best coach in the country. And he should be able to recruit that part of the country well.
