wow LeRoy Butler speaking out on espn news.."this had better work" he is saying he is not sold on Jimbo and I AGREE. He said "we have not competed in the recruiting battle for a long time. Now with Bobby gone who is actually going to sit in the living rooms of these kids and convince them?" read between the lines..we have no one which is the problem!
Sucks! But FSU's downfall isnt his falt. Who would go to FSU and the ACC when they can go to other schools that will allow them to showcase thier talent for the NFL? I know I would of went to the SEC if I was playing ball. He has to outrecruit so many top schools in the south and them athletes is headed to the SEC.

Simply unacceptable. He is not only losing the recruiting battle to the SEC they are losing it to Miami and USF. The coaching staff is old and sub par. The defense is undisciplined and small. I could go on and on. The above record says it all. And unfortunately like my Green Bay Packers and Favre we have to see what the next in line can do before committing to them long term. Bobby was only staying for the coaching record. I believe he knows the 15 wins will be removed and he has no shot at catching Paterno. Just like in business making a bad move is better than making no move at all. The training wheels must come off Jimbos bike and we must see what we can do. Bobby was looking 2 years down the road I am looking 5-10. The above record and talent on our team is simply unacceptable and something (although unpopular to many) had to be done to hold the CEO aka Head Coach responsible for the slide. He made the decsions on the coaching staff and his downfall started with Jeff.

well, Bobby is the guy that raised your expectation levels. Having said that, I think he should retire, but I think he should leave on his own terms. Or at least make it appear that way. I don't like the way it appears to have gone down.

Willie I don't think anyone is turning their back. I and so do other countless Seminole alumn love Bobby and what he made our program. This is what makes it so painful. The truth is that we have become a middle of the pack team. The true definition of a leader is to put all selfish and personal goals to the side and look what is best for the institution whether it be business or sports. Bobby, unfortunately, for whatever reason could not do this. I do not want to wait another 1-2-3 years and set this program back any further. Bobby was not letting go his 3 asst head coaches and for me I did not see a light at the end of the tunnel. They tried to give him the option to do this for the last 4 years and he decided to keep coming back. And yet again he stated on Sunday he wanted another year.
The only way we attract recruits is to have players drafted in the NFL. That was a staple of FSU until 3 years ago. If I was a top notch player no way would I go to a team that had almost no players get drafted. That is all an opposing coach/recruiter has to say. We needed a change and sometimes change has to be ugly. Bobby brought this on himself and thumbed his nose at alumni and backers for years.
