What the hell? The only explanation is maybe he thought he heard a whistle, but then wouldn't he at least come out of the crouch? It doesn't get more embarrassing than this.

Watch FSU's last drive of the game. There were at least 2 snaps where nobody on the offensive lined moved. Watching this replay #79 stayed in his stance a 1/2 second after play started. These lineman were coached to not move if they thought defense was offsides.

I watched the game and it was weird when the O-line didn't move at all. But this was even more strange cause the play was going on and he just stood there.

actually... the guy who stood still was the only player who did what he was supposed to do on that play.

just called my buddy who played at FSU for the last four years and he said the o-line coach tells them if the defense jumps offsides for the Bonus Play not to move until the play is over.
