I went once and pled not guilty so then they set up a court date. When the date arrived I was hoping the officer wouldn't show up but he did. The prosecuting attorney came and asked what my deal was, I said I admit to speeding but didn't think it was that much over. She went to officer talked to him a bit then came back and offered reduced ticket which I accepted. It was interesting to see the process but not really sure it was worth the time. The last ticket I had I tood the STOP class but the cost was the same as the ticket the only difference is that it won't affect insurance.

Get a hold of the arresting officer & ask him if you can just pay the fine without going to court so you won't get any points on your license, ask him what the procedure is to do this, most of the officers do not want to go to court either. I have done this in the past,gl.

You can't do that here.. Traffic Officers have a certain day for court, so like every 2nd tuesday or whatever, is there day.. they put all there tickets on one court calander

I got pulled over once for "parking in a dust-free lot" when my car was overheating. I asked the police officer if he got paid to go to court. He said he got overtime.

The officers here get paid OT for court as well unless they work dayshift. Dayshift officers attend court during their shift.

What in the hell is a "dust-free lot?"

In NY all they care about is the cash. You go to court and the the 1st half hour is just an episode of "Lets Make a Deal"

The officers sit in the back and meet with each person one by one. If it isn't too bad of a speed (and I don't think your is) they lower to a non-moving violation. They get the cash (still the same amount) and you get off.

The one thing that almost backfired for me last time was that I requested a supporting deposition, which years ago, was the way to go. But this trooper was pissed that I made him do extra work and wasn't going to let me slide. (But he did)

What are you trying to go out of the points or paying the money? Either way 69 in a 50 isn't a big ticket.
