If you can get a point or better than a line(@ pinny)....at -110, do you take it no matter what side you like?

It'll come out profitable in the long run, right?

No

a lot of points don't mean much, like

+2 instead of +1 in NFL

a point on any NBA total isn't much

+34 instead of +33 in CFB

etc.

you can't take everything, and win, need points that are more key.
