I don't know if I'd go as far as Matty Leinart, but I don't think he'll be anything more than a decent back up.

your crazy. yeah he has made ALOT of mistakes. but he has dropped in some absolute dimes to receivers that not alot of QBs can make. you got to remember if he was still in college it would be his SOPHOMORE season.

Kind of glad both Stafford and Sanchez are flopping at the next level.

I've been trying to see if there is a pattern between # of snaps in CFB vs. pro-success among QB's selected in the Top-10, and it's holding true thus far.

In their rookie years:

Peyton Manning in had a QB rating of 71.2 and threw 28 picks.
Were you calling him a bust?

In his rookie year (first full year)
Drew Brees had a QB rating of 76.9 and threw 17 picks.
Were you calling him a bust?
And Phil Simms had a worse rookie year than Sanchez.
How'd his career work out?

Will Sanchez be as successful as Manning and the rest?
Maybe, probably not, point is, most superstar QB's have had shaky first yeats, why not give him some time, but then again, you are always right.

sharp post, not to mention aikeman elway and steve young (even after usfl exp)

rookie qb job is far and away the most difficult in sports.

Everyone has very short memories. People were spoiled by the success of Ryan and Flacco last season. They are not exactly lighting it up in their second seasons.

not at all. Listen to his college coach and he should not have left USC. I will be the first to say he is a bust this year, but not even close to a career bust yet.....even with the start he had he was just riding the good times until his first loss. The guy never saw the kind of scrutiny he did after his first loss until he lost. Then he lost again and again.....just a lot to handle that is very new to him. He is no bust.....much closer to Romo than Lienert in terms of what he will mean to his team. Just give him time in the NFL.....Jets would be wise to build their team around him now that they have him.

What's funny is everytime the thread starter opens his mouth he puts his foot in it, and I am not talking ankle deep, his foot goes in his mouth to his knee.
